ACTS Church Lakeway members, from left, Pastor Peter Mueller, Glynn and Karen Bloomquist and Jim Noffke celebrate the church’s official congregation status and its second anniversary at Mountain Top Plaza.

ACTS Church Lakeway recently achieved a milestone move from “mission church” to “official congregation” of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

ACTS now joins with more than 6,000 other local churches around the world.

“The LCMS is a strong fit for ACTS since it is theologically conservative yet missionally active,” said Peter Mueller, pastor at ACTS Church Lakeway.

Since 2001, ACTS Church Lakeway, formerly Crossbridge Community Church, has been worshipping in the Lake Travis area and growing through five different locations in seven years.

In 2009, ACTS purchased and renovated the Mountain Top Plaza in Lakeway at Debba Drive and Ranch Road 620. This month, ACTS celebrates two years in its Mountain Top facility.

“ACTS feels so blessed to be an active member of the Lakeway community,” said Lisa Candido, business manager at ACTS Church Lakeway. “Lakeway has embraced us and supported our ministry in so many ways.”

The church’s worship gatherings are at 5 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. Sundays. For information, visit actschurchlakeway.com.
