During the last five years, the wine bar and restaurant at 6317 Bee Cave Road and its adjacent coffee shop, Lola Savannah’s, has become a popular draw in the area west of Loop 360.
Owners of the restaurant plan to expand the love with a new double shot restaurant and coffee shop soon to open in Lakeway in the former Mizu Prime Steak and Sushi, 3001 RM 620 S.
The Grove and Lola Savannah’s Lakeway are expected to open between May 1 and July 1, after remodeling.
Owners of The Grove targeted Lakeway for a new location because of its similarity to the Westlake community.
“We are super excited about the addition, and we are getting great feedback,” said Matt Berendt, general manager of The Grove. “The space is beautiful and has an awesome view. Lakeway is a great area. There are a lot of people out there, and the restaurants are just really catching up.”
The new space may help alleviate some of the pressure on the first location, as many Lakeway customers frequent the Westlake restaurant and coffee shop, Berendt said. Customers at the new spot will find much the same ambiance and menu they enjoyed at the original location.
“It’s fundamentally the same menu,” Berendt said. “There may be minor differences here and there. The wine service will have the same structure with wine flights and 40-50 wines by the glass.”
Having two locations will allow the restaurant to expand its wine stock marginally as buyers stock both locations.
